Title I

PAC as a Title I Schoolwide Program

Title I is short for Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Act of 1965, reauthorized by Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015. Title I serves children from low income areas by developing schoolwide programs and/or targeted assistance schools to serve students in the school. All students should work towards the same high standards. Standards describe what students should know and be able to do at each grade level.

Title I allows stakeholders to decide how Title I funds will be used to help students with their academic needs and needs of the community. Parents are partners in helping all students achieve. Parents have the right to be involved in the design and operation of their school’s Title I schoolwide program.
