Calvert County BOE Appoints Director and Supervisor of Transportation
Calvert County Public Schools’ (CCPS) Board of Education (BOE) approved the appointment of a Director and a Supervisor of Transportation. The following individuals were appointed as noted: At the April 11 board meeting, the CCPS BOE approved the appointment of Mr. Kevin Hook as the Director of Transportation, and at the May 9 board meeting, the CCPS BOE approved the appointment of Mr. Travis Mister as the Supervisor of Transportation.
Mr. Kevin Hook has been serving as the Supervisor of Transportation and Athletics for the past 16 years. Prior to that position, Mr. Hook was the Coordinator of Transportation, Routing Specialist and Secondary Social Studies Teacher and Coach, all in Calvert County Public Schools. He completed his master’s in administration and Supervision in 2020. Mr. Hook earned his Law Degree in 2000. Following graduation from St. Mary’s College, Mr. Hook earned his teaching certification in 1994 from Salisbury State University.
Mr. Mister has been serving as the Assistant Principal at the Career and Technology Academy, as well as overseeing the Calvert County Alternative School, since 2019. Prior to that position, Mr. Mister was Assistant Principal of Southern Middle and Plum Point Middle Schools and a physical education/health teacher at Calvert High and Patuxent-Appeal Elementary Schools. He completed his master’s in administration and supervision from Notre Dame of Maryland University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Salisbury University.
